Ferguson cares is a proud supporter of cancer research.

Many of you may know our storey, we battled as a family while our father, husband, friend, partner, mentor, Nelson Howard Ferguson (61) was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer on June 1, 2019. He battled his heart our for 134 days, going in and out of the CROSS CANCER INSTITUTE many times over that time and finally losing his battle on Thanksgiving Sunday as he slept. Watching the person who you have relied on for safety and comfort your entire life, be so vulnerable and helpless to the terror that is cancer, really puts life in perspective. He refused to let cancer beat him, even in the darkest of times, his last night, as the nurses entered the room to ask him if they could take him off the antibiotics and make him comfortable, his direct response was "Tomorrow will be a better day."

In his spirit, we want tomorrow to be a better day.

Ferguson cares is proud to partner with Edmonton cancer charities to assist in helping people affected by cancer and eventually find a road to the cure for cancer. We hope you’ll join us in supporting the many incredible charities around the city— and as always, if you need us, we’re standing by and ready to help.

Accelerating breakthroughs and bringing results to patients

The Alberta Cancer Foundation is the official fundraising partner for the 17 Alberta Health services cancer centres across the province include the new Calgary Cancer Centre, scheduled to open in late 2023.

We Cross Cancer, Together.

We live in a world where half of us will get cancer, but all of us will live with it. No matter how you look at it, we are all impacted by cancer — but at the Cross Cancer Institute, we believe that no one should have to face it alone.

How to donate to cancer research

We count on you to support cancer research at CRINA

Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide. If your life has been touched by cancer, be it breast, ovarian, lung, prostate or colorectal cancer, blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, or any other cancer, you may wonder why we haven't cured cancer yet. The problem is complex because cancer is not just one disease, it's more than 200 and we still have so much to learn. Right now, there’s only one cure for cancer — research.

This is why the Cancer Research Institute of Northern Alberta (CRINA) was formed, to bring together world-class researchers and physicians dedicated to making impactful discoveries in cancer prevention, detection, treatment and survivorship.

The good news is philanthropic support is helping to bring discoveries from the laboratory to the clinic and to patients faster than ever before. CRINA is driving innovation and collaboration in cancer research, and our members would not be able to make significant advances without your generous support.
